Hi, Ollie here! First of all, I want to thank my friend and author of Ollie the Owllama, Kim Wilson, for allowing me to be a guest blogger. I will pop in from time to time to tell you what’s on my mind. Today, in honor of Mother’s Day this weekend, I am interviewing one of my favorite characters in the book. She’s an owl known for her being super smart, and a great problem solver…she’s my very own Mama!
What is your favorite part about living on the farm?
I like so many things about our home, but mostly our friends and family. We are so lucky to live in a community where everyone helps each other, making it a hoo-tastic place to be.
What is some advice you can give to our young readers?
Always be proud of whooo you are. Everyone is unique and it is that uniqueness that makes us each special.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
I am not a fan of bad manners, especially burping at the brinner table, right, Ollie?
Yes, Mama. While we are talking about mealtime, what is your favorite food?
I love a good mouse kabob, when the mouse is nice and crispy…Mmmm. My beak is watering, let’s change subject.
Pah-hoo! I think food is the only thing we don’t agree on, Mama! Moving on…if you could be any other animal, what would you be?
That is a tough question, sweetheart. I really love being an owl, exploring the night and soaring silently through the air. But I guess if I had to choose, I’d like to be an owllama like you. I’d love to understand what it’s like to be a llama, and still be able to keep some of my owl characteristics as well.
What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
Honestly, what we are doing now makes me happiest. I love being a Mama and could talk to my Ollie all day!
You are the best Mama owl around, and now everyone else can see why I’m so lucky! Thanks for answering my questions.
It was my pleasure, Ollie, and thanks for introducing me to all of your new friends!
